Gravicask (HBF2016) (6-:3:6-:3+:13=3.1-)
Sweet, almost corny, aroma. Milky palate. Pretty simple English bitter, but very drinkable - grows on you. Corniness is a bit too sweet.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice golden ale, if slightly sweeter than most with a delicate malty nose. Served in this particular instance with a tight creamy head and although the palate was quite robust I found it difficult to detect more than a hint of citrus in the final product. Nonetheless quite drinkable and refreshing.
The pub in which I tried all the Gower beers (The King’s Head, Llangennith) was clearly top-notch for its cellarmanship and whilst it could not make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, its skill in this direction certainly did the beers no harm at all.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium off-white head, fed by very lively carbonated orangeish golden, clear beer; end of bottle a little yeastveil. Spices/hers nose, veyr nicely, but impossible to determinte which kitchen herbs. Tad of caramel. Hoppy, C-hops - passion fruit, not very British. Bit grapey too. Very fruity, and a bit of malts. MF is very British: just not empty. Bit onedimensional, but I suppose that it must be a very good session ale on cask. Txs to Stef!

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled 19/12/13. An orange gold coloured beer with a little white ring of head. An acetic note to the nose. More fruity and acceptable in the mouth. Does still have a hint of infection but otherwise it’s drinkable enough.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, 500ml from Sainsbury’s in Banbury. Hazy gold with short lived head. The flavours are low impact in this, there is a smoothish body, a touch of sweetness and a hint of caramel. Maize and corn notes perhaps, a light bubblegum flavour then sweet fruitiness. Nothing exciting but drinkable.
