| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Interesting beer and I wondered if there was a bourbon element but discovered it was the chocolate substitute which gives it almost a bakers chocolate flavor. Ever eat those bitter bakers chocolate bars before baking and think hmmm, how bitter? Imagine it in a beer with a decent alcohol kick, unintentional sour flavors and vegetables. The mouthfeel has decent carbonation and it looks nice and dark though. Bottle at River St. Ale house in Pittston, PA.
