bottle at RBESG ... Deep black ... slight sour tinge in roats nose ... roast malty ... and roast deep chocolate...
TK2 bottle at home from my 60 bottle BGGF stash ... Deep black with a completly disappearing head ... roast malt again im getting ever so light sour tinge in nose (thats 2 for 2 for this beer and 3/4 for tonight beers)... quite mellow flavours ... roast chocolate malts ... Id agree with some raisins ... again id agree with some jam tones (ive never described at beer in such ways before) sweet fruit FRESH home made jam tones in fact now ive read it thast what im getting over and over sweet jam, possibly strawberry.... Very nice but just fails to give that last kick into awsome

Sampled at the RBESG08 grand tasting. Dark brown with a red edge, thin head. Nicely integrated chocolate, earthy hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry with moderate bitterness.

Swingtop. Pours translucent dark brown with a thin off-white head. Light aroma of chocolate. Light body and carbonation. Maybe I tasted this one to late in the day, but the flavor seemed a little thin, just a little chocolate and cola. I’m underwhelmed.

On tap at beechwood bbq in seal beach, ca perfect walnut brown pour w/ a tightly bubbled creamy white head. The aroma is of chocolate, oats, and spices. Creamy mouthfeel and flavor. Very nice

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy medium brown body with a moderate dense beige head. Aroma of sour fruit, floral, evergreen, and cocoa. Flavor of carob, cocoa, caramel malt, nuts, and sour yeast.

DFW Tasting 6/8/08 Thanks to Bu11zeye for sharing! Aroma is Light Chocolate and flavor is off chocolate. This beer did not impress me very much. I really didn’t like it. Cheers!

Tap. Dark brown with little thick lasting head. Chocolate, cherries, some spiciness, a very good malty note mixed with a really nice earthiness hit gently the nose, inviting and balancing the whole. Explodes in a medium bodied silkiness, with a huge chocolate and cherries flavour, reminding a pastry specialty of the same region, Piedmont, that host that brilliant brewery. Long aftertaste, no traces of that 7%abv, flavourful and dangerous drinkable. Delicious brew.
