Nicely integrated chocolate, earthy hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry with moderate bitterness. bitbucket (2027), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2008 Swingtop. Pours translucent dark brown with a thin off-white head. Light aroma of chocolate. Light body and carbonation. Maybe I tasted this one to late in the day, but the flavor seemed a little thin, just a little chocolate and cola. I’m underwhelmed. This beer did not impress me very much. I really didn’t like it. Cheers! Scauca (408), Lovere, Italy Jun 10, 2008 Updated: Jun 11, 2008Tap. Dark brown with little thick lasting head. Chocolate, cherries, some spiciness, a very good malty note mixed with a really nice earthiness hit gently the nose, inviting and balancing the whole. Explodes in a medium bodied silkiness, with a huge chocolate and cherries flavour, reminding a pastry specialty of the same region, Piedmont, that host that brilliant brewery. Long aftertaste, no traces of that 7%abv, flavourful and dangerous drinkable. Delicious brew.
