Chocolate, cherries, some spiciness, a very good malty note mixed with a really nice earthiness hit gently the nose, inviting and balancing the whole. Explodes in a medium bodied silkiness, with a huge chocolate and cherries flavour, reminding a pastry specialty of the same region, Piedmont, that host that brilliant brewery. Long aftertaste, no traces of that 7%abv, flavourful and dangerous drinkable. Delicious brew. LordCorkscrew (948), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

Charred fruit, sweet aromatic woods, dark cherries, dates and a hint of creosote in the nose. Interesting, but not overly pleasant. smoke and ashes fill the mouth from the start. Some mild vinous qualities, I happen to be reminded of an old bottle of cab with a dry cork. Some nibs, elderberries and choke cherries also creep in. LIght soft palate. Very earthy and course. There was a good bit of tartness in this one. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
