Bottle at tasting at Chris Fischer’s (from Liars Club) house. Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s malty with a little sweetness and a grassy hop notes, as well as a floral note. Light to medium bodied, tingly on the tongue and a touch warming.

Alla spina ai Troeggi in Via Chiabrera, una birra alle castagne un po’ grezza e che non sapevo così alcolica; in effetti ora capisco come mai ci abbia dato quella mezza bottina.

The aroma does have nuts and plenty of malt, but the touch of sourness really hurts the aroma. The appearance is nice its cloudy amber with a large head. The taste is like the aroma and hurt by the sour taste. The mouth feel is smooth. Overall it has some good qualities but I don’t really like it that much.

Tap at Churchkey. Pours flat, cloudy, reddish tea deep amber. Nose is Christmas spices with fruity pumpkin. Taste is astringent, overly spiced, ultra tea tannic, very over sparged feel. Tannic and dry. Bland spice character. Not a fan.
