Compact foam. Limpid yellow color, not much bubbly. Fresh, enough pungent taste. Read grass notes. Light and evanescent.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Canned. Yellow golden, big white head. Bittersweet aroma (in a horrible way). Malty taste with hops in the finish. Wellbalanced, but could do with more carbonation.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Good gold colour, but head is very disappointing, little more than a collection of bubbles in the middle of my glass, 1 bubble thick! Nose is harsh & off-putting,use of hop extract very noticable. Palate, however, is nice & smooth, not much in the way of flavour tho’, light & slightly malty, thats about it really! Very average pils, ok when WELL chilled, not bad for the price I suppose, 59p from Lidl.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pale pils with a fleeting head. Almost non-existent nose with a disappointing cereal note. Sometimes I think that the term Rheihneitsgebot is used a little too liberally and wonder at its efficacy. The major profile is more gas than flavour and this is truly another version of an often disappointing style. I wonder if the Euro is to blame?

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Can, from Lidl. Straw gold, fluffy but quickly dropping white head and gentle condition. Soapy dishwater and chlorine in the nose, Quite bitter in the mouth with some traces of starchy malt and a touch of sweetness. Finish is short, and malty sweet. Premium my arse.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2006 New review:
4.8%, brewed by Oettinger in Gotha
Ooh... this was one of the first beers I’ve had during the very beginning of my ticker faze, in Spain. Well... we got a Lidl here recently, and I got to try it again, and write a better review. It’s pretty much exactly as I wrote... poured a nice yellow going gold colour, with a medium sized white heap of bubbles that disappeared quickly. Very fizzy, but it calms down soon enough. Smells remarkably nice... a fresh malty smell. The taste is very watery, dull, not all that interesting, maybe hoppy, a touch lemony, but not pleasant... The fact that it’s watery is a boon actually... if it had a more pronounced taste, it’d rate even lower. Thankfully no aftertaste. Below average industrial lager. +1 aroma, -1 palate.... and I’m being quite generous.
An underaverage, boring pils, watery and bland. Seen it only in 0.33 cans. That was too much, I bought two, and both survived almost untouched the night before we left Spain. That, and half of a bottle of some Spanish n/a someone bought by accident.

Malty lager with some strong bitterness. Not the kind of beer i usually like but this one is not so bad.
