Draft served in a pint glass at the Brewhaus. Pours a clear, bright brown color with minimal carbonation and a tiny tan head that fades fast. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, toast, grassy hops, and mild spices. Flavor is basically the same. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a watery, nutty mouthfeel. Not much going on here, but the description makes perfect sense because this is basically just a slightly less roasty version of the stout.

Grabbed a pint just for the tick. A behind the bar mix of their stout and their Pilsner. Knew what I was getting though. Call it a pilsout or a stousner. It does taste kind of like a brown and looks like one. It is pretty tasty but lacks any authenticity.

It poured a hazy brown amber color with a beige head. The aroma was sweet malt, nutty, and a little toast. The flavor was much the same with the addition of some roasty chocolate notes and a dose of hoppy bitterness.
