On my second trip to this very small brewery I asked for their Red Ale. I watched the server pour some from their stout and then some from their Pilsner. At that point I pretty much lost interest in what was in the glass. It actually looked pretty cool with a very nice foam. It was probably an ok beer but was still a mix of two other drafts.

It poured an amber color with an off white head. The aroma was of sweet malts with a light nuttiness. The taste was of toasted malts with lightly floral notes. A decent Amber Ale.

Draft served in a pint glass at the Brewpub. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a little off-white head and more carbonation than the other beers. Aroma of sweet and caramel malts, grassy hops, peppery spices, toast, and citrus. Flavor follows suit closely. Like the American Pilsner, this one is really nice at first and loses that quality as it goes down and warms. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a grassy, malty mouthfeel. Upon reading the other rating I was really surprised and didn’t see that happening when we ordered it, especially because this was our favorite of the four beers. Seemed like just a decent amber ale and my impression is that the blend is done during fermentation.
