cask at cloisters ... dark amber ... thin creamy head ... yeasty citrus nose.... sweet but bitter orange front ... dull doft ho linger ...

Half, cask. Copper coloured body with a reddish tint. Some floaters on the top. Weak hoppy to the nose. Lighter taste of malts followed by a sour kind of bitterness. Watered in the mouth and rather anonymous in texture (with food, upstairs at The Market Porter, London Bridge 01.08.2009).

Cask conditioned at Oxford Beer Fest ’07. Murky orange with no head. This was just bad, off, chemical and really poor. Basically undrinkable.

Dartford Beer Fest. Milk chocolate and a sort of chemical vanilla. An odd mix of pale and amber malts that doesn’t quite come off for me. Vanilla toffee. Kind of unpleasant. Some roasts mainly in the nose, but also lingering on the tongue.
