COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the hardworking neighborhood where the original Grain Belt Brewery established its roots back in 1893. The term ‘Nordeast’ comes from the Northern and Eastern European immigrants and their language which helped shape Northeast Minneapolis. This amber American Lager is our way of honoring the storied past of Grain Belt and the people who helped to make it legendary! Cheers!

Looks like cream soda almost in a glass. Aroma of grain, lager yeast. Taste is similar, slight malt. Its better than some pale lagers, but it still is not anything special.

Bottle, pours clear amber with a white head, thin and watery with some malt and very slight bitter finish, rather bland but I would take this over a pale lager though

Draft at Grumpy’s in Roseville a few weeks back. Got this beer for $1 with one of their burgers. The burger was way, way better than this beer, but I won’t turn down a $1 pint of beer. Slightly dark amber in color. Thin, refreshing. Some dactyl in the finish, which might be to style if that style is not very good.

I went on a trek to Minnesota on the trail of the Kensington Runestone. As my imagination carried me to a world of swashbuckling norsemen traversing the Northwoods, I realized that there, in Minnesota, were descendants of norsemen actually living throughout the region. Sure, their ancestors had arrived there in the 19th century, rather than the 14th but they had injected themselves into American society and had definitively shaped the northern Great Lakes region. Everything about Nordeast (right down to the particular propaganda of its official press release) fit perfectly with what I wanted out of a Minnesotan beer. I tasted great beers (better beers) from the Surly brewery, but this is the one that I remember the most fondly from my quest for medieval norse artifacts in middle america. Drink up!

Not as good as the premium. Very bold an bitter and smells skunky. Pours a dark yellow in color and has a tough aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A sweeter and lighter version of the Vienna than I prefer. Lacks the malt depth that you’d expect.

A darker version of the classic Grain Belt. Same sweet hints of blueberries, but almost no finish. Had this with a Juicy Lucy ar 5-8 Club.

Draft from notes. Very average and innofensive beer. Slightly sweet with corn and grains. Light and very drinkable. Good.

Tap - good size foamy head, clear dark copper/amber color, malty aroma and flavor, not very sweet which is good, mild nuttiness, slightly dry finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
