3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Grain Belt scores another coup for us tubby beer drinkers. Definitely would take a Blatz Light over this, but when you’re thirsty and this is all you have....that’s ALL YOU HAVE.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2004 Nice light golden color, small white head that had a short life. The aroma was malty, corn and some what fruity as well. The taste was lightly malty a little corn mild hops and just cerealish.Over all a fairly nice brew that started and finished quite nicely with a high drinkability. This was a nice surprise and i would recommend this to anyone for a refreshing rendition of a light beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Full sampler at JJ’s/La Puerta in Sister Bay, WI. for old time’s sake, and to clear my throat. Showed a clear straw hue, with white, creamy head froth, and spotty lacing. The aroma was light yeast, some stinky/dank grain, and a touch of corn. Very light bodied, lively carbonated, with a hint of hop bitterness, and a watery texture. A somewhat bland hydrator, but it is what it is.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
For a Minnesota light beer its ok. not much flavor at all. It tastes a lot like Grainbelt Premium, just a little more watered down. I probably will never drink it again. I don’t see any reason to.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a pint glass with no freshness date on the bottle.
This is definitely one of the lightest beers I have had. Like the regular version, it doesn’t have much color at all and the head isn’t to exciting.
Aroma and taste are very similar. Very bland. Some corn, grain, and light grassy hops show.
Mouthfeel is crisp with a light body. Higher carbonation. Ends dry.
I wouldn’t recommend this one, unless you like tasteless beer or plan on having a lot (very drinkable as it is extremely light).

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very watered down version of the very watered down Premium original. Less grainy and corny, actually went well with a wild boar sausage...yum.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Light yellow with lazy bubbles in the lager glass. A thin white head. The aroma is grassy with some light flower notes. The taste is corn flakes and some grass. Not much character, but that isn’t a surprise. Nothing bad, though.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Consensus is for a light beer not bad, color is pale golden, with a hint of real beer flavor on the back end, unlike most macro light brews. A little corn, a bit of grass, but drinkable on a hot summer day.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Grainy and beery in the aroma, the appearance is almost translucent gold. The flavor is crisp and grainy. Not horrible but something to seek out again.
