COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Local legends aren’t just born, they’re brewed. And no beer in the Midwest has a grander brewing tradition than Grain Belt. For over 100 years, Grain Belt has been the beer that fathers have passed on to sons and friends have passed amongst each other at local bars and watering holes. It is a beer with tradition that spans generations. Which is why it has become legendary–both here and across the country.

In the 1940s, around the same time Grain Belt built its famous bottle cap sign overlooking the Mississippi River in Northeast Minneapolis, they introduced a “Beer of Exceptional Quality”–Premium. With its crisp, unique flavor, Premium quickly became the flagship of the Grain Belt brand. And still is to this day.

Although the Grain Belt Premium recipe has changed hands over the years, one thing has remained the same–its legendary unique taste. And now that Premium is in the capable hands of a brewery with an even longer tradition than Grain Belt–the August Schell Brewery–may you rest assured that the flavor and heritage of Premium will live on forever.

So as a local legendary beer, we raise a glass to all the people, places and things that make the Midwest such a rich and unique place to live. Here’s to you!

Pours a clear yellow brown with a thin white head. Weak aroma with notes of hay, grain, and skunk. Not a great flavor consisting of grain, light, sweet hops and malts, and some tangy tones with quite a bit of carbonation.

Can shared by footbalm. Pours a clear golden color with a small bubbly white head. The aroma was sort of metallic with light grains and some skunky notes. The flavor was nice; light corn and honey dipped grains. Sweet and refreshing. Quaffable for sure. A highly carbonated body.

Pours pale gold with medium white foamy head. Aroma is grainy malt, light lemon cleaner tones Flavour follows suite with a lemony grainy tangy body. Finished crisp and clean. One of those better out of the bottle beers and at $9.99 for 12, I could see myself drinking a lot of this over the summer.

Tap at the Red Stag. Pour was a very pale yellow, minimal head and a little bit of carbonation. Flavor was light a little malty and finished very crisp. The best "everyday beer" for the masses that you can stock for a MN BBQ

Draft beer @ "Stones Throw" Eau Claire,Wi. Pours clear yellow with a small white creamy head. Sweet malty profile in the nose and flavor. A sweaty smell and hay aroma creeps in as the beer warmed up.(frozen mug) Soft bitters on the edges. Smell reminds me of a hay mound on a hot day.
