Bottle from Bakers and Larners of Holt, Norfolk. Clear, copper colour. Film of white head. Toffee malt. Some orange. Some green leaf. Taste is soft sweet. Light dry. Smooth palate. Finishes with a little bitterness. Lovely nick, this one. Very enjoyable bitter.

Had this at a pub in Great Yarmouth. Beer was quite good, I remember it having the right amount of bitterness.

Dark amber with a sharp fruity aroma. Overriding flavours are of toffee and caramel. Quite smooth with a surprisingly clean palate. The first beer I have tried from this brewery and quite impressive.Very easy drinking.

Cask@ Kings Arms, Bethnal Green E2. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with weak hoppy hints.

Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toasted, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter, sharp, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Norwich. Amber with white head. Crisp, biscuity, malty bitter with a background leafy type hop, Reasonably refreshing, some depth to the malty note. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Beer Emporium, Bristol 14/8/2013. Deep amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Malty bitter, with some bready notes, hedgerow fruits and a touch of leafy hop, before a lingering, bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Cock Inn, Attleborough. Light brown, almost tawny. Cedar, underripe berries, a bit of astringency in the nose. Taste is malt led but with a good dollop of sour bitterness. Long grainy finish. Just the right hit of astringency. Special.
