Based on the Belgian witbier style, this cloudy wheat beer has flavours of bubblegum, orange and coriander, and pours with a gorgeous frothy white head.

Hazy golden, typical English small white head. Tastes of citrus, koriander and wheat. Proper wheat beer, some of the best British attempts at wheat beer I’ve had so far, but still plainly British ale (which in itself is not a bad thing)

Cask at the Paisley Beer Festival 2016. Pours murky yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of bready spice, faint banana (which is my favourite type of banana). Taste is more of the same. Dry finish.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy straw coloured with a thin white head of foam. It has a spicy lemon and tart fruity flavour with herbal and floral fruit on the smooth grassy finish.

Slightly wheaty aroma. Cloudy orange. Acidic and very watery palate. Weak and incipid. Acidity too harsh, and apart from that watery. I wish UK brewers would stick to what they are good at, and that’s ales and porters, not wheat beers.

Cloudy golden colour with a slight white head round the glass. Lemony wheatyness on the nose. Refreshing if a little watery but a nice wheaty finish in the mouth.

Cask @ The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Sportsman Bizarre Beer Festival. Cloudy dishwater yellow with a very thin head. Has a good witbier nose, with a lesser stated taste, but still within its style.

Cask at the Mill, Cambridge. Cloudy yellow.a bit of skimmy white head on the top. Citrus and coriander in the aroma. Proper Witbier smell with a bit of funk. The aroma isn’t intense like it is with many of the best Witbiers, but that’s ok.bittersweet taste. Bit of cheese. Chalky, light and slightly bitter palette. A pretty good shot at a pretty good style.
