Deep brown colour. Initially the aroma and flavour offered a sweet almond taste like a frangipan. Later there’s a mild malty flavour. Quite a light thin body doesn’t carry the flavour well.

So about 15 years ago me, my dad and granddad went for a walk into the region of Brasserie Grain d’Orge. After a visit we went home and I left with a smile, 6 bottles, glassware, flyers and coasters. After all these years I found them back in my cellar. Obviously they past prime a long tine ago but still among the livings. Something I can not say about my dad nor granddad. So this one goes out to their memory! Cheers dad! Cheers grandad! Bottle: Served in a Brice & Joup taster: Deep dark black black ish tuby colored beer with some bubbles that quickly disappeared. Aromas of raisin, port, malts, prunes, some porridge... Flavours of malt, raisin, bittersweet, light cardboard, toast, light dusty spice, some prunes, nuts and light alcohol sprinkle. Aftertaste is a mix of nuts, malts, light porridge, raisin and wood with a dry bitter edge. Low to no carbo, light oily more silky mouthfeel, medium bodied. Not bad after all these years!

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2015 Bottle 33cl. Hazy deep amber brown, average loose foamy beige head, mostly diminishing, thin layer remains, good lacing; sweet malty aroma, caramel, brown sugar, light dark fruits; taste medium sweet, light bitter, caramel, sugary; medium body, watery mouthfeel, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter finish, sugary and herbal notes; on the whole a thinnish beer yet drinkable.
