Pours dark, rather clear brown with a red glow . Big white head fades fast . Bit sweet, unintense scent . Taste is a bit sweet , bit metallic . Chocolate tones beneath the sugary-forward flavor . Thin mouthfeel

Hazy brown with sediments. Roasted malt, fruity sweetness, a bit watery. Finish is malts. OK, probably quite nice during summer.

Een heel lekkerdonker biertje met een goede volle smaak. Net zoals het hoort te zijn.

Alengrin (2815) - BELGIUM - JUL 12, 2014
The beer honouring the ’point of three countries’, referring to the short-lived historical region of ’Neutraal Moresnet’ and with a text (and name) in a local dialect; yellowishly tanned, thick mousse-like head, colour dark brown with a ruby hue; aroma conforms to a classic dubbel, with hints of caramel, fondant, coffee, candied dates, dried plums, banana, liquorice, cloves, subjective impression of oak, flowery hops and some balsamic vinegar; subdued fruitiness in the taste, nutty with a somewhat grainy mouthfeel, vaguely sweet, rich dark malts, aftertaste lightly bitter. In all, quite forgettable.

Brune classique, effervescence moyenne-faible, col beige moyen. Malts toastés, mini amertume sur la fin, un peu aqueuse. Pas grand chose d’autre à dire...

Clear dark mahogany body with a minimal off-white gead. Nose has raisins, cookie dough, herbs and alcohol. Taste is mild, giving hints of raisins, syrup and alcohol. Palate is very lively with bubbles fizzing up in the mouth for a while. Taste is too alcoholic and solventy.

Dark brown Belgian ale, average appearance, light toasted malt aroma. Taste is also light roast grain, slight tanginess, abrupt finish, light, stinging lingering aftertaste. Part German dunkel, part Belgian ale, part Dutch oud bruin...3 lands bier indeed.

McTapps (5040) - Ruhrcity, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2013
Had some high hopes into this one but it was just a simple Belgian beer. Clear light brown with amber hints in colour, low creamy head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of light Belgian yeast, malt, nuts, dark bread and torf. Hints of flowers and whiskey. Easy to drink, maybe even quaffable, but in the end just average.
