Brune classique, effervescence moyenne-faible, col beige moyen. Malts toastés, mini amertume sur la fin, un peu aqueuse. Pas grand chose d’autre à dire...

Clear dark mahogany body with a minimal off-white gead. Nose has raisins, cookie dough, herbs and alcohol. Taste is mild, giving hints of raisins, syrup and alcohol. Palate is very lively with bubbles fizzing up in the mouth for a while. Taste is too alcoholic and solventy.

Dark brown Belgian ale, average appearance, light toasted malt aroma. Taste is also light roast grain, slight tanginess, abrupt finish, light, stinging lingering aftertaste. Part German dunkel, part Belgian ale, part Dutch oud bruin...3 lands bier indeed.

Had some high hopes into this one but it was just a simple Belgian beer. Clear light brown with amber hints in colour, low creamy head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of light Belgian yeast, malt, nuts, dark bread and torf. Hints of flowers and whiskey. Easy to drink, maybe even quaffable, but in the end just average.

Laff, dumpf, malzig und ohne grosse Hoehen. Wir sind dafuer extra nach Aubel gefahren und kriegen so ein dumpfes Piwo, das im Hintergrund ganz leichte Keksaromen bietet. Riesige Enttaeuschung.

Swaroga (1108) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 2, 2013
33cl bottle. Dark brown with small , lightly tanned head. Nose : cooked fruits and caramel, light smoke, bread. Sip : low to medium body, good carbonation. Sweet and fruity with strong caramel notes. It does make me think of coca cola. Some liquorice and pepper spices. Overall it is a regular brown with some extra character in it. Not my style.

Sour metal aromas. Strong visible carbonation. Head does not last. Metal caramel flavour.

16/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: July/August 2013 (2012-631) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

Cloudy purple to dark brown beer, huge aery beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, cloves, liquorish, little sour, roasted malts, bit cola like. MF: quite some carbon, light body. Taste: pretty sweet, sugar, lots of spices, some cloves, bit metallic, sour touch, bitter hops, fresh ginger. Aftertaste: brown sugar, spicy, some rotten fruits and overripe banana. Didn’t finish.

Benzai (6388) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 7, 2012
33cl bottle @ home shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Lightly hazy red-brown color, medium sized dense off-white to beige head that lasts and leaves a nice lacing. Smell malts, slightly caramel, not much more. Taste malts, sone bitter and something else I can’t quite put my finger on. Not too bad, nothing very good either. Low to medium body, medium carbonation.
