DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, - NOV 10, 2010
Bottle from Dranken Geers. Dark chestnut with a stable cream foam. Aromas of cork, plummy Belgian yeast, carob and orange cake, strange peppery spices. Roastier than expected with a charcoal graininess, hints of chocolate and Marmite, a flat, vaguely oaky finish and linger of ash and burnt cardboard. Quite a lot of burnt cardboard in fact. Needs thickening out, with flavour and body. Bit disappointing.

33cl from beer planet. Cola brown with the slightest of ruby tint and a head that falls somewhat quickly. Cherry esters, cola, dark bread malt, slight toasted nut, candied sugar, some light spice going on. Raisins, candied sugar, cherry, toasted pecans, spice, faint cereal grain. Really tastes like a malted dr pepper.

Slight hints of coffee and malts. Quite a thin beer with a dry finish. Very nice dark red color with a small white and fast dissapating head. Bottle at a bottle shop in Vaals.
