The Master-Brewer found a recipie which was elaborated in 1898, the year the brewery was created. On this basis, he elaborated a 8,5° white beer of top fermentation. Mashed from three strictly selected malts, the "Grain d’Orge Cuvée 1898" is to be savoured in good times.

Aroma of apple sauce. Taste is similar to a belgian blonde, slightly citrus, sweeter and grainy. Anyways it’s satisfying. Finish is sweet, minimal tartness, mild alcohol, but all in all is very well hidden considering the high abv, a bit of spiciness too. Pretty cool, thanks Kapusil!

Bottle. Clear pale body with low white head. Aroma has an alcohol character right away, with light yeasty fruitness. Taste has light malty sweetness with medium earthy bitterness, alcohol sweetness in the after taste. Refreshing, but too warming for myself. Body is full, high carbonation.

Corked bottle from Mam & Dad’s holiday, France. Bright amber coloured with toffee, caramel and burnt currant flavours, red fruit and almond notes followed by a very warming, smooth fruity finish.

Bière blonde ambrée avec peu de mousse. Nez essentiellement sur le malt, léger côté caramel. Faible Amertume, goût sucré, malté et alcoolisé. Pas très subtil ...

Very malty ale, darker golden, bordering on amber, with fast disappearing head. Aroma is malt, honey and butterscotch. Taste is mostly malt and a hint od cider. Mouthfeel is slick, and palate is smooth and mildly sweet.
