Bottle shared with McTapps and bought at Stassenvin in Aubel. Nice one with lots of fluffiness and hoppy sweetish start. Some caramel and vanilla in the aroma. At the end a bit sour and watery. But to rate this one is not difficult. Just a solid and good beer.

McTapps (1469) - Ruhrgebiet, GERMANY - MAY 14, 2013
Deep dark brown colour with low creamy head and smooth body. Nose of nuts. Taste of malt, dark bread, dark grains, hazelnuts, torf, whiskey and burnt caramel. Light sour and metallic finish. Easy to drink and really nice but in the end just average, there is absolutely no "wow!"-feeling.

(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 20 Oct 2012) Dark reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, raisins, prunes and dark rye bread. Malty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, liquorice, brown sugar, dark rye bread and a gentle herbal bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. A bit different, but quite nice.
