Aroma was weak from the bottle, but develops itself in the glass. A friend could find same chemical aroma of the Kasteel Winter, and I do agree with that. For the taste, I could only distinguish a point of caramel in the aftertaste. The rest is difficult to analyse for me. It’s good but not an extraordinary beer.

Joli col de mousse. Amertume faible. Un peu floteuse en bouche. Bière qui se boit facilement.

Aroma of coffee syrup like kasteel winter. Tastes of slightly roasted malt that stayed to long in water. Too watery. Doesn’t feel like a beer.

mittel- bis dunkelbraun, trüb mit weißem Schaum. Säuerlich, hefiger Geruch, aber auch malzig und schokoladig. Geschmack: teigig, malzig und säuerlich. Etwas Karamell und Trockenfrüchte. Wenig Hopfen. Gut!

27/XII/14 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ holidays - BB: VII/2016 (2014-1542)

Clear red brown beer, irregular creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: some caramel, hay, bit malty, some shellfish (oyster) or maybe it’s just a bit saline, weird in any case, bit metallic, sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty start, caramel, some overripe fruits, sugary. Aftertaste: lots of caramel, some alcohol, banana, little bitter, sugary.
