Bottle bought at Zythos beer festival St Niklaas, Belgium last year. An amber coloured pour with a medium beige head. Fruity, Belgian spice aroma. Tastes fruity, spice, sweet, malty, caramel. Quite nice.

Abio (1136) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAR 17, 2011
Brown with a redish shine, no head. Smell is fruits, earthy spices, a bit chocolate and alcohol. Light earthy-dry spiced malty taste. Unpleasant mouthfeel, like a soda, taste is a bit weird, and not my thing. Wondering if the bottle is ok.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Light palate, thin feeling. Sweet brown beer. Noteably sweet finish and lingering sugary aftertaste. Subtle chocolate.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 22, 2010
Cherry red with a fine grey-beige foam. Mushy, cherry skin, palinka and glue aroma with hints of barrel and redcurrant. Sweet and largely featureless with a boozy, cherry/marzipan and demerara slickness lifted slightly by banana and wooden touches. Spoiling cardboard as it heats. Dull, alcoholic, soggy. Not my thing at all.

Bottle (33 cl) from Etre Gourmet. Deep reddish brown, medium brief beige head. Nutty malt aroma with some vague spicy and earthy notes. Medium bodied, a bit fizzy carbonation. Dry with medium bitterness.

imdownthepub (7491) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2010
Bottle conditioned, 330ml from Grain D’Orge Brewpub, Hombourg, Belgium. Dark amber with initially white head, short lived though. Has a touch of the amateur about this, a little on the enthusiastic homebrewer side. Thin mouthfeel with burnt caramel notes, a little spicy, yeasty, a touch rough on the edges rather than holding everything together. Enthusiastically drunk though whilst cooking.

oldrtybastrd (3229) - Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA - MAR 31, 2010
Pours a nice cola colored brown. Aromas of malts, fruit, and a touch of spice. Has flavors of chocolate, caramel, and a touch of wood. Kinda thin in the finish.
