Cask; Regular. Also available bottled (cold-filtered).
A traditional strong and hoppy Indian pale ale, brewed with the finest English Maris Otter pale ale malt to give a full-bodied malty chracter.

Bottle from the Real Ale Shop, Wells next the Sea, Norfolk. Hazy, pale amber. A film and a few bubbles of white head. Hmm, tastes a lot like butterscotch. And presumably that isnít intended? Not a lot else, bar a background, light hop. Taste is more of that, with a fair amount of bitterness. Dry, bitter finish. Not great. Shame. Thereís probably a good beer in there.

Bottle from Real Ale Co.. Boasting crisp citra hops, this was however very generic English bitter ale, sweaty and lacking in fruitiness. Decent bitter finish but not complemented by any depth of character. To be fair probably better on cask.

Cask (Newcastle Beer Festival 2014) - Hazy golden in colour. Grapefruit, gooseberries and lemon in the aroma. Hoppy and fresh taste with tangy grapefruit dominating.

Keg@ earl of Essex. Clear golden caramel colour. Nice white head. Slight veggie on the nose with fruit. Malty Toffee, candy sweetness with pineapple and mild bitterness. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravity poured half-pint at the Kings Head, Norwich on 20 Apr 2013. Golden amber body with a thin white crown that didnít hang around. Semi-sweet for an IPA with a mildly malt nose, where have the hops gone? Traces of citrus smells as the beer warmed a little in the glass and a mini bitter finish in the taste, otherwise we are talking malts here. Solid enough (I like sweet flavoured brews), but I was expecting a hoppy IPA like usual, not a slightly citrus/grapefruit tasting beer with a malt front and aroma.

On gravity at the Volunteer, Bristol 30/3/2013. Amber with a decent white head. Sweetish, peach and tangerine fruits, with some spicy hops and a dryish finish. Good.

Peach aroma. Rich gold. Sweet, but quite bitter, and again peachy hops in the mouth. Nice carbonation for a real ale. You can tell that itís a pretty serious beer, but not stupidly so. Good one.

Bottle drank in my stylish pastiche bar at home. Golden/amber pour with a light beige head. Itís frothy man! Well carbonated this one. Fresh citrus nose, predominantly lemon and grapefruit. Lemon zest, grapefruit and light herb flavours. Fresh hop tang. Strong, bitter finish. Nice.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Deep gold slight haze. No real head. Some hops on aroma fruit salad style. Better in mouth. A little syrupy but some decent pepper hop on finish. Quite tasty but funnily enough a little watery too. Some sherbert hop. Initialy I wasnt yhat keen but it did win me over

Cask - Kings Head, Norwich. A dark orange colour with a bubbly, disappearing white head. Malty sugars, toffee, grapefruit and orange aromas. More grapefruit and tangerine with a lingering citric hop bitterness and a prominent slick malt sweetness. Soft, medium body with low carbonation and an oily texture. Good but quite malt forward.
