This well balanced session beer uses Maris Otter pale ale malt to give a light amber colour, and fermented slowly to give a dry, moreish finish.

Dull mid-orange. Some cleanser aroma perhaps. Tastes a little watery but has a good dry woody hop finish. A bit of toffee. Quite full for its strength. Sweet. Fairly flat.

Market Porter, Borough 4 Nov 12. Lys gyldenbrun. Lavt skum som fester seg litt til glasset. Svak fruktaroma. Smaken er druer og litt syrlig frukt etter hvert.

Half pint shared with Finn. Cask at Market Porter, Borough. Copper-amber body, dotted spots at the glassware. Smell of wood and mid-sweet malts. Malt-fruity taste. Restrained, dry bitter ending. Easy to quaff. Unvaried (London, 04.11.2012).

Cask conditioned at The Village Inn, West Runton, Norfolk. Amber with white head. Crisp, fresh, hoppy session type beer, nicely set up and refreshing. Good leafy, slightly flowery flavour, drying and lasting on the palate pretty decent.

Cask gravity at Colchester BF 2011. Mid gold with thin white head. Butter and caramel on aroma. I was fearing diacetyl and although there is some butter it works ok. In fact its a decent session bitter. Some soft bitterness on the finish. Fine. Some decent caramel flavours.
