Cask as Grain Oak Aged Porter. A black beer with a brown shine with no head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread, alcohol, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of wood, leading to a dry, roasted, and alcoholic finish.

Cask. I took this down as "Grain Oak Aged Porter" - suppose it’s this one? Pours black and opaque with a small off-white head. Aroma of butter and hard roasted malt with some licorice. Medium-bodied, flat, lots of hard roasted malt, licorice, coffee and dried fruit. Some warming alcohol in the finish. Lovely - apart from the buttery nose. 200110

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 09. Bit fishy on aroma. Liquorice all oer it. No port as far as I can tell. Bit powdery in mouth. It’s just to much liquorice for me.
