3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerViking (1427) - Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, - AUG 4, 2009Cask at GBBF 2009. Deep gold, slightly hazy, nose has loads of grapefruity hops and malt, palate is fruity and chewy with plenty of alcohol warmth and slight notes of melon and buttery chardonnay, then turning grapefruity and dry-bitter on the finish with a lingering citrus bitterness. An excellent interpretation of IPA.

Cask conditioned at The Fat Cat, Norwich. Pale gold with white head. Fresh and hoppy beer, good dry body and quite light in character. Finishes dry, citric lemon and grapefruit. A very good beer and another example that you shouldn’t let a cask go to GBBF, where the quality is rubbish.
