Just popping out for a "sneaky one"? if you have ever uttered these words you will not be disappointed by the first beer to be brewed at Grainfed Brewing Company. The Sneaky One is a new style developed by brewer Lachlan MacBean, called Newcastle Summer Ale. I think this beer is pretty tasty. It would be good on a hot summerís day but unfortunately for me itís a cold rainy day today.

on tap at the grain store in newcastle. pale and yellowish with loads of lacing; a bit of hefeweizen in the nose - banana and vanilla; some creeping citrus pip bitterness, hints of butterscotch; a little strange but okay

Pours a hazy amber colour with a substantial white coloured head. There is a mild aroma of malt and the taste is of malt and mild to moderate hop bitterness which sits nicely on the palate. A reasonable beer.

On tap at The Grain Store. A little light bodied and dry for my tastes but still a well made beer with a fruit finish.

Unfortunately for beer aficionados Australia is becoming replete with average micro brewers and their brews; this beer is no exception. It looks terrible and overall is just a weak, insipid brew. Needs work on all AATP fronts.
