COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
A full strength mahogany coloured beer, which has a moreishness typical of a beer possessing the fine balance of pronounced hop bitterness & aroma against a natural malty sweetness, creating a deceivingly drinkable beer.

Cask at GBBF 08. Still, clear amber. Bland aroma and flavour. Tastes weaker than it is. I guess you could call it an achievement to make a 5% beer this lacking in flavour.

Clear deep amber with tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, ripe fruits and hints of caramel.

gravicask @ kingston bf 08. Nose of nettles, herbs, metal and chalk. deep copper colour, no head to talk about. Caramel, toffee and tons of herbs (sage, coriander, nettles, daffodils..) in the middle, good bitter finish. lovely pint even though it tastes a bit free-range oranic and green-alternative.

50cl bottle from Tesco, Alfreton. Gold with a thick creamy off-white head; rich fruity malt aroma; rich chewy malt flavours too, but slightly stewed; with good hops to balance; finish is rather caramel sweet though. Good in parts.

Bottle. Poured a real dark copper colour, plenty of fruit in the aromas, loads of hops. A very good beer wish I had another bottle to try at the same time. good stuff.

Counting house. Aroma gives a good hearty chewy malt base with peppery hop resins. Taste is again balanced richer malt character with good hop character balancing, only thing missing is a bit of body, which couldn infact be due to over venting.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Clean dark brown with a decent off white head and spotty lace. Pleasant malty base that has a really nice vanilla sweetness to it. Nice coffee with two sugars note too and a balancing hoppy finish with some more vanilla. Chewy and nutty. Pretty good stuff.

Cask, wetherspoon’s Hammersmith. Lovelyfull aroma from the first sip. Round malty body, flowery hops merged smoothly into the brew. Long lasting bitter and warming finish.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Amber with a small white head. Sweet fruity aroma and taste with grainy malt background. Mid bitter finish. Plenty of flavour here. Pretty good.
