A smooth, well rounded mid strength beer, typical of a brew from the Grainstore Brewery. This beer exhibits a drinkability created by a unique balance of malt sweetness and the hoppy clean aftertaste.

Tried at a bistro in Stamford. The beer was probably past its prime,. Amber colour with no head. The aroma was a touch musty. The taste was flat, but had the promise of malt and a nice bitter finish.

Cask at Rupert Brooke spoons Rugby, not crystal clear but pleasant, nice white head, malty notes and smooth on the palate. Drinkable bitter.

Rich bronze colour. Thin head. Sweet caramel nose and a bit of biscuity malt. Lots of caramel, rich malts, bit of alcohol. Straightforward bitter.

On cask at JDW in Coalville - Not the most inspiring. A copper body, vague white head. Bit of malt and caramel, but not too much to impose itself. Taste - okay - but nothing noteworthy. A boring bitter.

Malt based golden ale with a disappoint small head that doesnít cover its top. Glows a bit thought.

Draft@Criterion, Leicester. Amber beer with a light airy head. The aroma is lightly toffee, and the flavour is toffee with a good degree of bitterness. Overall a nice standard bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hand pulled pint in my local íSpoonsí on 13th Aug 2012. Clear and clean amber body with a creamy head that produced some good, strong lacing on my UK pint sleeve glass. No great aromas, mix of caramel maltiness and some floral hops: the taste followed those traits with the hops coming to the fore as the mouth dried. This was one of the smoothest cask ales Iíve had for a long time: could have been a nitro-keg cream flow beer (is this a good thing or a bad thing?). I had this at the brewery years ago, but donít remember it being a smooth/slick tasting brew.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, pale head. Crispy malt nose with some leaves, wood and hay. Light sweet flavor with plastic-like bitterness, some underripe lemon, straw, green grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp, lightly biting finish with mild dough, toast, grass, woody leaves, plastic and straw. Thereís a surprisingly abrasive hop presence in the aftertaste, mostly green grass. Somewhat out of balance, and the elements themselves arenít awesome.
