COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our dark wheat beer, with 13% original gravity and 5.4% alcohol by volume. The name comes from the "Altöttinger Kirta," the traditional autumn festival in Altötting. There we have set up our tent every year to entertain the visitors.

(bottle) Cloudy, dark brown colour with a collapsing tanned frothy head. Berry-fruity, slightly vinous and wheat-malty aroma with present notes of toasted malt and caramel. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly wheaty taste with mildly fruity and phenolic spicy accents; bitter-sweet roasty and slightly fruity finish. 30.III.11

0.5 l bottle. Hazy dark reddish brown color. The aromas of tart fruits, ripe banana, yeast, pepper, clove, raisins and nuts. Nutty, peppery, clovey, yeasty, raisiny and tart flavor. There is dull yeastiness in the aroma and flavor.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Brown color, cloudy. White pepper and yeast in the aroma. Banana, lemon, melon and yeast in the slightly dusty flavor. Decent.

Bottle (courtesy of Stefan!): Deep amber coloured, cloudy, quickly collapsing off-white fluffy head; sweet berries with a vinous touch, toasted malt with sprinkles of chocolate underneath; moderate more sweeter than sourish flavour, soft, a bit thin; smooth sweet sourish finish with illusions of chocolate. Quite nice stuff.....

Hazy medium to dark grey amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, light glue, phenoel, yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, caramel - chocolate notes, light rubber - smoke notes. Body is medium, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation look flat, but in the mouth it is lively. [20110308]

bottle from biershop-braugasthoefe.de. Cloudy brown colour, large beige head. Aroma of wheaty, yeast and caramel. Medium-bodied, malty base, wheaty and yeasty with hints of fruit (banana) and chocolate. Very good.
