went to the brewery in Port Lucaya and was disturbed by the mess and dirt all over the place. Owner very hospitable, as many free samples as i wanted. Although the Lucayan is not very good, their Hammer Head beer is AMAZING!! Only makes small batches for him and his friends because the Bahamians dont like strong amber lagers. Pass on the Lucayan and get your hands on a Hammer Head!

Bottle thanks to the Ex for dropping this off to me as it has few rating. Pours a light golden body with a white head. Sweet malty simple and grainy with a thin bready note with a light hoppiness and a metallic flavor.

12 oz bottle, Grand Bahama (lucayan marketplace)
App: Med gold, slight haze, no head, ring of white bubbles at edge of glass
Aroma: Very faint malty/grainy aroma
Flavor: Sweetish, grainy flavor with bready notes. little hop character
Palate: Light body, med carb
OA: A little heavier than the rest (Kalik, etc). Decent, but still unexciting.

Looks like fresh horse piss. Nose is malt and corn (what the hell is it with Bahamian beers and corn?) and tastes like watery Miller. With all due respect to the others who’ve rated this, the only reason I drank more than the first glass was because it was free at the all-inclusive resort I was staying in.

Nothing stands out about this beer. Tastes like American beer.

Surprisingly good for a ’local’ beer. I was expecting more of a Kalik-style Bud rip-off but this was actually a smooth and tasty beer.
