Our seasonal brown ale brings the warmth back to the winter. Brewed with maple syrup, and aged on bourbon oak. Note: This bottle also contains our flavor bomb. This revolutionary product changes everything you know about beer! The flavor bomb is packed with bourbon barrel oak sticks, then placed in the bomber to condition with the beer.

White waxed 22oz bomber pours with a clear deep copper body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma has brown sugar, molasses and a mild sweet booziness in the background. The taste is pretty nice with maple syrup, vanilla sweetness, malt sweetened roasted malts, molasses and then faint smooth bourbon booze. This is coming across way better than I was expecting as the barrel notes only add modestly to the experience rather than smoother everything. Well crafted product.

Bottle; poured a ruby/auburn color with a dark khaki colored head. Aroma of wood, earth, caramel, fruit, veggies and alcohol. Flavor was somewhat weird, with maybe some wood and meat notes that didnít quite click. Almost leathery. With warmth some more sweetness and caramel emerge. A bit messy overall, but not too bad.

Pours with minimal head, amber. Aromas of vanilla and bourbon, spirits, wood, slightly thin in feel, lightly creamy, evident alcohol, faint bits of biscuit, light sherr. Finishes slightly peppery.

A very smooth brown ale. Nice infusion of maple and woodiness although the bourbon is more shy and at the tail end. Solid B. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2013 On tap at Papago 10/18. Light carbonation, smells sweet and enticing. A tasty brown ale before the barrel hints kick in, and they make it better. Never tried a barrel aged beer like this so wasnít sure what to expect. If all the little hints of brown sugar, vanilla etc. are from the barrel alone Iím impressed. Itís a bit confusing though because the bottle version claims to use a "flavor bomb" so Iím unclear if an adjunct is used for the draft version. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
