12 oz bottle bought in Denver and opened in San Diego into pint glass. Looks very clear and slightly copper yellow. smells like floral wild flowers. tastes like dirty hops with a weird aftertaste that isn’t too plesant. There is a weird twang on the palate as well. Overall 5 of 10.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Atom (689) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 30, 2011
12oz bottle pours a clear pale orange with a small of white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy, with pepper. Taste is similar to aroma pretty watery and lacking in defiant flavors. Pretty weak but drinkable, which is more then I can say for most Grand Lake brews.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Zymurgeist2 (448) - Redwood City, California, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Very clear depe copper with sustained, but thin, white head. Both hop and malt jump out of thie glass. Well rounded malt covers the mouth. Great floral hops.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 adnielsen (3762) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 17, 2010
Tasted from a 12 oz bottle purchased in Fort Collins, Colorado. Clear orangish appearance with a head that disappears very quickly. Standard floral hoppy aroma. Flavor has a light body that’s mostly dominated by floral and a bit piney hops. Weak hoppy finish and aftertaste. Kind of a weak APA if you ask me.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ernest (5187) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 13, 2010
Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, resin), with very strong notes of butter and butterscotch.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately astringent.
A diacetyl bomb, the likes of which could destroy an entire city. It’s rare that I encounter packaged beers with butter of this magnitude. Dirty aftertaste to match. I’ve had plenty of bad beers from Grand Lake, but this might be the first I’ve had with a severe diacetyl issue. So unfortunate.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (7589) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 10, 2010
Bottle from Supermarket Liquors in Fort Collins, CO. Pours amber with a foamy off-white head. Citrus hop aroma. Med body/foamy carb. Flavor is roast malt with a fari dose of floral/citrus hop. Thought it might be resin, but not now. Finishes a bit malty, but there is a lot of hop to cover that.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 beerguy101 (4924) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Sampled on 9/9/2010. This Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, floral hops and sweet. A light to medium bodied Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet, The hops are floral and grapefruity. Seems to be somewhere between an American and English Pale Ale. Seems a touch thin and watery. The bitterness seems to grow on you and it intensifies a bit as the beer warms. Hints of orange. Minimal carbonation. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
