UPDATED: SEP 26, 2008 Bottled, thanks Crosling! Mahogany colour, minimal head. Peaty toasty nose. Sweet and full bodied. Roasty malt and molassesMalty and warming with some rye bread but very little hops. Smoky finish with low bitterness. Really nice beer, but the malt profile is a little bit rough which prevents it from getting a top score.

Bottle from Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours dark brown with garnet aspects. Not much head. Rich malty aroma that seems to have chocolate accompaniment. Body is thinner than expected. Carbonation is minimal. Flavor is malty, smoky, coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Despite expectations it is not all that sweet and the finish is neutral, perhaps toward astringent. The darker flavors tend to build interestingly.

Bomber pourede a clear very darkreddish brown [almost black] with a very minimal dissapating amber head. Aromas of carmel, peat smoke, fruitiness and a bit of toffee. Palate was medium bodied smooth and warming. Flavors of carmel, smoke, a hint of chocolate, fruitiness and some light vinous notes with a lingering bittersweet finish.
