2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Blah. Probably the worst beer in my grand lake variety 6 pk. Amber pour w/ a decent tan head. Aroma is of slightly sweet malt. Taste is bland but pretty well balanced. Not great!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish amber with a smallish creamy off white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.
The aroma is pretty subdued- some nutty malts and a little cola and some floral hops.
The flavor is nutty caramel malts with some slightly fruity bitterness at the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty watery.
Overall, an OK malt forward beer. It’s similar to Fort Collins’ Retro Red. I liked this better on tap.

A beer that drinks like a meal. Hoppy flavor. Became more difficult to drink as the night wore on.

12oz bottle pours clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, toffee, and nuts. Taste is lots of caramel malts followed by some nutty bitterness until the end, roasted and chocolate malts present. Not great by any means and barely drinkable.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
bottle. Pours ruby red with almost no head. Almost looks identical to their booger brown, which was my first drainpour. This one actually smells ok, caramel, toffee, nuts. Thin, watery body, almost no carbonation, which does not work well for this beer. Flavor presents a sickly sweet molasses aspect, and that’s pretty much it. Unlike the brown, this is at least drinkable, although barely, and not enjoyable.
