On tap at Michigan Fall Beer Fest. Heavy on the chocolate syrup flavors. Pretty boozy on the end. Overall pretty good.

From notes. Enjoyed this at the MBG Winter Beer Fest. I think this mightíve been my favorite of all of the beers at the fest. The pour is a medium black with a thinner head and some decent lacing left behind. The aroma is strong in vanilla and cherry, which I love from the beginning. The chocolate and bourbon really comes through on the back end. The bourbon carries its own and itís just a great aroma. The flavor is just as awesome. The booze, vanilla, cherry, it all just rolls together so well. The mouth feel is thick and viscous like a molasses. The carbonation is perfect. There is a great thickness to it. The aftertaste is lingeringly roasty and just beautiful. The vanilla and bourbon really help this finish up well. Love this one

Opaque deep black-brown, minimal light head. Very strong vanilla notes, molasses, light spice. Quite sweet, little bitterness. Heavy body, oily, long finish. Not quite as well balanced as BCS, but still quite tasty.

Bottle thanks to Bob! Pours a dark brown, with small beige head. The aroma is vanilla and cherry bitters. Light roast and vanilla oak with sweet finish. Really enjoyed this one.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Pours black with a brown head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a nice note of dark grains, sweet chocolate and vanilla. Flavor has a nice combination of dark chocolate and vanilla with a bit of roasted malts.

On tap at brew pub for their one year anniversary. Deep and dark in color. Strong notes of vanilla and chocolate in the nose. Taste comes strong with vanilla, chocolate, sweet fruit and booze. Palate is wonderful. Overall a great, great beer. In the book of trys, it is a must.

Tap: black-hole black, all around the body with a tan layer of film; fine-bubbled & long lasting, minor lacing left behind. Aroma is fantastic; creamy vanilla, wet oak, smooth bourbon notes, burnt brown sugar, dense cocoa, sweet cherry juice, with a light & warming spice off in the tail end. Taste includes sticky sweet burnt caramel & brown sugar, bittersweet cocoa beans, an incredibly smooth oak & bourbon combo, & a sweet finale of vanilla drizzled cherries. Cherries are sweet but never tart & donít compromise the robustness of the barrel aged beer. Fudge, oak, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar, cherry finish... Dessert in a glass, this stuff is absolutely awesome.

On tap: The aroma consists of chocolate covered cherries and cinnamon. Itís a dark brown with some orange highlights and small beige head. The flavor starts chocolate covered cherries. The finish has cinnamon, vanilla, and light roasted malt. Itís medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, this was the best beer of the Detroit Fall Beer Festival.
