Tasted 4/27/08. Sampler from the brewpub. Clear and ruby hued. Grainy candy nose. Fruity and medium bodied. Super tart! Nice bitterness. Tasty.

On tap at MIBGSF 08. Poured a dark raspberry color with a thin pink head. Aroma is huge raspberry, funk, grass. Flavor is raspberry, grass, barnyard, hint of lemon zest. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished with a hint of sweetness, then a blast of tart. This would give NG Raspberry Tart a run for its money. Great!

A very sweet lindemanesque ’lambic’. Very good for ye ol sweet-tooth, but otherwise a bit dull. not very tart or sour.

2008 MBG Winter Fest: Blood red with a small fizzy head. The aroma has notes of raspberry syrup, some cane sugar, hint of funk and vinegar, biscuity malts. The taste is far too sweet much like a Lindemans, where did the sourness go? Sugar and raspberry puree with some herbal notes as well. The mouth feel is soft and sticky. Not the best of examples.

12 Oz Bottle. Confused nose of sharp wild fermentation, light champagne vinegar, and raspberry syrup. Smells unique. Pours a clear strawberry flesh, with rose-tinted rim of whitish. Beer moves forward with fast bursts of raspberry sugars intermingled with explosive carbonation and strong acids. This has just as much vinegar as Rodenbach Grand Cru, but it’s masked by some amount of sugar. A little harsh and biting. The wildness in this beer isn’t exactly exciting, I sense some enterobacteria. Vinegar, off-wildness and too much sweetness make this a little tough to stomach. Interesting to try for sure! Thanks Sean!
