A thirst quenching lager with origins from the Pilsener style. Brewed specifically for the Australian palate and the great Aussie BBQ. Crisp, refreshing and surprisingly full bodied light beer. Medal winner in 2012 at the Australian International Beer Awards.

Pours amber with a nice creamy-looking head. Nose shows lots of malt with honey, caramel and butterscotch quite noticeable. Hops are not forgotten, grassy and spicy notes are prominent. Flavours include the above sweet malty characters but without much backbone. More grassy hops. Body is pretty watery.

330ml bottle(part of gift pack) into schooner glass. Caramel malt nose, golden amber beer with solid white head. Medium carbonation. Light but not watery. Tinny hops with malt background. Slight citric hint right at the end. Excellent taste for a low alcohol beer.

Tap at the White Horse Pub, London. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a fizzy, white head. Faint aroma of malt and grass. Lightly sweet with almost very little bitterness. Light in bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Finishes has light sugar and barely perceptible, grassy hops. Overall a bit thin, even for a "light" beer. Unimpressive.

Had this bottle for about a year just lying about, and for a beer of such meagre strength I hope it held up.
A soppy, loose, bubbly off-white crown forms atop its dull and hazy medium gold body. Head is mostly lasting. Very bready, yeasty, sourdough nose with underlying pineapple candy fizz-whizz. Predominantly hoppy palate, mild showing of grain, mid-palate is bready and yeasty like the nose but is drowned out by some very duty, herbal and chewy hops. Pinenut and camphor swallow and linger, good bitterness on and in the swallow with some floury, sourdough and feint pineapple residing in the mouth. Not light in body, it has certainly got a weight to it not quite fitting to its final ABV. A strange light beer, quenching but not altogether refreshing! (33cL, no date stamp, Dan Murphy’s Mandurah)

330ml bottle. A clean yellow body with a medium-sized short lasting white head that leaves a reasonable lace. Nose is light grainy malts with a light lemony citrus hop presence. Palate is clean and medium-light bodied with an attenuated German pilsner-like taste. For a light beer, at least it has a semblance of dry hop bitterness to the finish. Could do a lot worse.

Bottle- pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. mild aroma of citrus, grain and a bit of malt sweetness. Quite clean. Taste has a mild crsipness with a light malt sweetness and a bit of grain. Has an easy bitterness and a dry finish. Light body, crisp and smooth. Has a bit more character than most light beers. Fairly bland but not bad for the style. Not normally a beer I would seek out but came as part of a six pack sampler.

Bottle. Clear orange with a decent white head. Aroma of butterscotch, honey and lemon. Taste is quite fruity with apricot and pineapple. The flavours in the aroma are there too. Slight bitter finish. First sip is pretty convincingly beery and it’s not as watery as expected. One is more than plenty, but this OK for what it is.
