| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Decent Dry stout but won’t blow you away. Nose is roasty and a little off. In the mouth it is chocolate roasty with a short finish. Decent but doesn’t really improve much on the framework set out by guinness. Another wormanlike beer from this company. davidm (229), Melbourne, Australia
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 30, 2009 Bottle. Exceptional beer. Aroma has liquorice, raisins, smoke, and coffee. Flavour is long-lasting and mostly sweet; but there is nice bitterness at the end. Silky in the mouth, and medium-bodied. Dark brown colour, with a thin fizzy head. mickmac (105), Ngunnawal, Australia
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours with an average light brown frothy head over a ruby tinged black body. The aroma suggests an alcohol percentage bigger than the stated 4.9%, like a fortified wine, with chocolate, coffee and roasted-burnt notes with clove and dried fruit (dates). A modetaely bitter finish. Well done Grand Ridge-this is a great beer. hastey (9), Australia does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Bottle - I really enjoyed this beer.
