2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear deep golden with a fine off white head.
The first thing that strikes me about this beer is that there isnít a huge hop aroma. Thereís a little mandarin and lots of sweet toffee.
Taste is more mandarin and lots of sweet toffee, a bit of graininess on the mid palate and a moderately bitter, slightly piney finish, and just the faintest hint of biscuit.
The body is medium, but disappointingly thereís a bit of wateriness on the finish and the finish doesnít last long.
Iím just not convinced by Grand Ridge as yet. This beer is alright, but I donít really like the sweetness, thereís not that much complexity and the wateriness ruins it.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a small off-white head, which neither lasts too well nor leaves too much lace. The aroma is predominantly biscuit malt, with some light floral and lemon hops notes. Moderate sweet lemon and floral hops up front lead into biscuit and faint caramel malt in the mid-palate. Citrus blossom hops appear in the finish. This beer really lacks enough hops presence to be considered an IPA; it tastes more like a biere de garde, and is overall pretty underwhelming.

Hop malt aroma. Murky amber colour with poor head and lacing. Malt hop herbal flavour. Smooth palate.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle from Slow Beer. Initially pours a little flat looking but a small head of foam slowly forms. Dull orange in colour with a very modest aroma, itís quite hard to detect any aroma at all actually. The full flavour of this beer saves it somewhat as it is quite hoppy, as you would expect given the name. Itís a little bit hit and miss for me.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a light golden amber with smallish tan coloured head. Floral hop aromas and some light sweet caramel. Sweetish upfront with light bitter finish. Medium to light mouthfeel. Not to bad though nothing special.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 330ml bottle on 14/12/2012. Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head. Has a big, sweet toffee and caramel aroma. Flavour wise, the toffee dominates, but there is also more caramel, a little butterscotch and a good dash of nuttiness. It finishes with a quite pronounced, long, slightly tart hop bitterness. This really is something quite different - not very much like either an American or English IPA. A very nice, quite distinctive drop.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber with a small head.
Nose shows caramel, pine, apple pie, toffee and nutty notes. Also a vague lemon custard character, reminiscent of sorachi ace. A bit wierd.
Some similar nutty notes as flavours, along with some grapefruit and light spicy notes.
Perfectly enjoyable, not completely sold on Triskel though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 7, 2013 Bottle. Clear amber with a small white head thatís soon a coat. Aroma of flowers, slightly puddingy lemon, herbs, biscuit. Low carbonation. Light biscuity malt, flowers, lemon. Finishes dry and quite bitter with some herbal/ medicinal notes. Intriguing. English tasting apart from the hops, which are very different but somehow not jarring. [3.4] And second time around itís more why not, but why? than intriguing.
