It has been developing in my mind for over 10 years now, waiting until beer fans are ready for such a beautiful hop explosion & so well balanced. Beware, too much will have you dreaming intense & incredible dreams in what seems like absolute reality. No shit.

Low, almost no head over a red/amber ale. Smells great, a big citrus hoppy nose. Smooth caramel malt flavours with a firm bitterness. Very smooth and full mouthfeel. Let down by the carbonation (may have been this bottle) which is way to low for my taste and would lift the beer a bit in the tail. Very easy drinker though, tasty and well made.

Tap @ Chloe’s Bar at Young and Jackson, Melbourne. Pours clear deep copper amber wuth a stesdy creamy beige gead leaving nice lace. Aroma is toasted, malty, carsmel, metdllic and fruity. Flavor is great; malty, slightly sweet, fruity, caramel, citric and well bitter. Finishes longlived fruity, malty and bitter.

Pours a murky amber/rouge with minimal carb and the thinnest head. Not a good start. Aromas are flabby and stale, flavour is out of balance - sweet malt and harsh bitterness. Thin, yeasty and mineraly/salty. Hoping it was a bad bottle, usually like the GR beers and was looking forward to this.

330ml bottle. Big tight tan head. Pours a deep red almost burnt copper colour and is full of caramel malt and hop aromas that hit you as soon as you pop the cap.Flavour is as big and bold as the aroma. Cracker of a beer, shame it is only available for a limited time.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with light mahogany down the side of the glass. Decent light tan coloured head. Good lacing. Nice looking beer. Beautiful light toffee, caramel and citrusy pine hops. All nicely in balance. Brilliant. Flavour are likewise equally balanced. Sweet upfront with good resiny hop bitterness to finish. Not huge but really good. Medium mouthfeel. Great beer

GR’s best release in years. Labelled as an American Red Ale and it’s thoroughly modern with clean lifted new world hops. Very good hop presence right throughout and a creamy toffee finish. Not really ESA for mine but regardless of classification a very good beer.

Pours ruby-tinged dark amber with a lasting head and lacing. Nose shows rich caramel, toasty, nutty and light roasted malt by the truckload. Very nice! Underneath is some faint hops, but you can’t really call it American, just a subtle hint of resin. Still, really delightful. Flavours include more of the same dark malt followed by a sharp bitterness. Seems to be lacking a bit in the mid-palate. Nice creamy body and moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Brooding reddish amber with a dense beige head that laces nicely. Aroma of nectarines, kumquats, herbs and caramel. Taste has nutty/ toasted malt, some stone fruit and citrus. Brief bitter finish. Medium bodied - quite light for the malt balancing the bitterness. I don’t think ESA is the right place for this - maybe Amber ale. A shift towards the newfangled for this brewery and a good beer.
