A very nice tasting mid-strength beer. I don't drink mid very often and the price range definitely puts me off buying a carton. This is not something I would drink regularly, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried this.

Maris (546) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2011
From a 330ml bottle on 27/3/2011. Pours a light amber with a massive head. Has a mild malty aroma. Has a heap of flavour for a beer that’s only 3.3% - mainly sharp burnt caramel and toffee malts, and a sharp and long almost lemony hop finish. The body is relatively thin. All up, this is pretty impressive for what is basically a light beer, and a bit under-rated on here.

Bottle. Slightly dirty brown with a huge frothy beige head. Aroma of nutty caramel, sweet-shop spices, grass. Taste has rather unexpected - and borderline unpleasant - burnt notes, caramel, nuts, grass.

Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2010
Tap at the White Horse Pub, London. Pours a muddy, light brown with a foamy, off-white head. Faint malts and dark sugar aroma. Lightly sweet with an uninspiring malt profile and some dirty, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with some bready malts and faint, earthy hops. Average.

Mjollnir (335) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - AUG 7, 2010
330mL bottle. Pours light brown with a small fine off-white head that leaves a small amount of lacing. Aroma of toffee, slightly fruity and a little hops. Watery and burnt flavour. Light bodied, average carbonation with a burnt finish.

mkel07 (1816) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 5, 2010
330ml bottle. Murky muddy brown colour with a thin light head. Light burnt wood and wood smoke aromas with a faint whiff of cold coffee mixed in. Dry finish with that burnt wood aftertaste coming through. Not too bad considering the low alcohol content.

Bottle - Pours brown with good size head. Has distinctive roasted nut flavours. Nice dark low alcohol beer.

Pyobon (570) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 4, 2010
Bottle. Hazy mid brown with very slight head. Little aroma - bread, malt, tea. Light body, medium carbonation. The flavour is disappointingly bland with little to say about it - some sweetish malt and a taste reminiscent of cold tea. There is however a pleasant fairly long bitter finish. Disappointingly bland but definitely drinkable.

Nice malty nose and looks pretty good. Unforutately in the mouth it is a bit characterless and astringent. Not well made .

Bottle - Murky brown with humongous off white head. Roasted malts, some caramel, slightly fruity, hoppy with medium bitterness.

Dervock (303) - Emu plains, AUSTRALIA - JUL 26, 2009
Bottle - Poured a massive head straight away which settled to a nice density. Sweetish malt aroma. Aroma is better than the taste, not much there; Too evervesent, little or no after taste - very thin.
