(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy pale golden with a small, white head. Rather neutral aroma with a vague tartness. Light-bodied with a distinct sourness - grapefruit I believe. No bitterness. Thanks to Highlandlad for this one. 150306

A hazy golden colour. Whate and citrus aroma. Citrus taste as well. A good beer for an Aust version of a wheat beer.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale cloudy yellow with a hard earned head that didn’t last at all. Doughy citrus aroma, with a hint of coriander, but a bit weak. A touch of sourness in the flavour, but otherwise it was a bit bland - it needs a bit more oomph! The palate really let it down, with the fizz being too much and creating a really gassy beer. I know it’s a witbier, but it just seemed a bit weak all round.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
9 Jul 2005 - Sweet light hop malt fruit aroma. Cloudy yellow colour, good head and suds lacing. Sweet wheat malt flavour with low hopping. Tangy hoppy light malt tatste, a bit thin. Overall - It doesn’t quite make a pass, a bit uninteresting.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Very sour wheat beer, not a white really. There needs to be another category for these things, like "Belgian wheat beer" or "Belgian Blonde Wheat" to distinguish between true Wits and no-quite-so-white "whites". The reason I say this is that not being properly white doesn’t exactly make these "pretenders" such bad beers, just different. Anyway, this one almost seemd to have been made with wild (i.e. lambic) yeast, it was so sour. Refreshing and citrussy (well, hardcore lemonny), but would be hard to drink more than one of in a sitting I think.
