3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle- Pours A hazy golden color with a huge thick head that fades quite slowly to lots of lacing. Aroma of fresh grain, some malt sweetness and bit of citrus in the background. taste is fairly mild with a bit of citrus then a mixture of wheat and malt sweetness. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp, smooth and somewhat refreshing. Decent balance. Not a great witbier but still enjoyable. Not a bad example of the style.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured a cloudy pale straw colour with a very thick white sudsy/foamy head (I mean very thick; first pour it was eight-finger high and second was still four-finger high) that collapsed and left a suds trail on the side of the glass. Soft but moderate to high carbonation. Aroma of wheat, some yeast and some malt. Taste initally showed slight bitterness then it turned to sourness. Light body. Dry finish.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Poured a pale golden straw and bright as bright; the yeast pack glued firmly to the base of the bottle. Had to rouse it but it still showed no life atop even with the mad eruptions of Champagne-like carbonation. Sour and lactic nose with hints of underripe nectarine, lemon-rind, sherbet candi and mous hair - not good (yeast infection?!!). Watery thin, sour and lactic like the nose and reminiscent of putting lemon juice in a glass of milk, setting it aside for a few days, filtering it into a bottle and selling it. Furry, lactic and astringent backend with a finish that had me dry retch. Drain poured this one, a re-rate to follow!!! (33cL, no date stamp, Dan Murphyís Currambine)

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
If you told me that this beer was a piece of performance art involving a dogdy home brewer substituting his beer for a well-regarded label to be sold in a national chain of bottle shops, Iíd believe you.
Iíve got nothing against yeasty beers, but the aroma on this one is distinctly amateurish. It took me back to the undrinkable swill that me and my mate put together in his shed 20 years back. The taste is much more palatable, if a bit bland. Thereís some malt, banana and hops.
Iím still yet to have a Grand Ridge beer that I really like.
