4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 harlequinn (2745) - Tacoma, USA - FEB 26, 2004
This stuff is just plain awesome! The downside is that I only had one bottle to enjoy. Great roasted creamy flavor, with some sweet hops to balance things out. The alchohol is very well masked. Lots of raisins, toffee, chocolate, carob, and lots of honey. Wonderful to sip on a cold winter night, watching the snow fall.

Thin here and there but very good balance and a lot going on with this.
Chocolate, toffee, nuts, port/ sherry, and dark fruit jam.
Worth sitting on when finding a bottle as rewarded a really good beer. Very close to the style and a good beer to sip on

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hawthorne00 (1441) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 28, 2011
Bottle. Nice dark amber with a coat of pale beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, toffee, dried fruit, liqueur port. Taste has treacle, dried fruit, grassy bitterness. Quite Porty. Alcohol pretty evident, but not raw. Smooth verging upon sticky. Low carbonation just lightens things up a little. Rather British. Quite complex, but not very deep. Good balance.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 crispi (95) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 11, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2010 Low aroma, with hints of caramel.
Taste : heavy and quite bitter, but with no lasting bitterness. Lots of Banana flavour, with maybe Cherries, with hints of butterscotch and liquorish
Appearance : almost no head at all. Carbonated. Dark reddy-brown and cloudy.
Feels like a lager on the lips, but with a lasting thickness, but at 11pc, would want to be careful with this one, but in a good way.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 bluebetty (881) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2010
Bottle. Pours a really nice deep mahogany with a very dense beige coloured head. Plenty of lacing. Great looking beer. Aromas of port, licorice and some alcohol. Good somewhat complex aromas. Flavour wise there is plenty of smooth sweetness upfront and quite similar to a sticky. Some grainy bitterness near the finsih. Quite complex. SOlid mouthfeel. Great beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beershine (4754) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Bottle @ Beerfest Asia Singapore. Hazy dark red with small head. Looks heavy. Smells like an American quad with rich dark fruit, sangria notes, and alcohol. Smells heavy and rich. Thick cherry-chocolate nutty flourless cake as it warms. Gets much better by the sip, the flavors seem to mellow and blend into one another and the beer becomes smooth. It grew on me.
