On tap at the Golden Kiwi, Cambridge. The pour is almost a honey colour. Nose is quite fruity. The flavour though it much more complex than expected. The cherries are there, but a good malt backbone, and enough hops to keep it from getting cloying. I was impressed.

[2531-20091024] Tap. Cherry fruit aroma is mildly sweet. Slightly hazy, light orange amber body with a quick foamy white head. Tart cherry mash flavour initially finishes a little sweeter. Medium thin body is astringent. Not a fan of these cherries but an interesting beer regardless.

Draught at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow with an average size foamy white head. Nice hint of sweet cherries in the aroma along with light hops and pale malt. Flavour: Same, nice subtle sweet cherry with light hops, pale malt and some grain. Decent light bitter finish. Average bodied. Enjoyable and quite quaffable.

Draught. At Golden Kiwi, Cambridge, ON. Rob from Grand River was sitting next to me while I drank this ... I had questions. Poured slightly hazy light amber with a solid thick-looking creamy off-white head. Lush, soft aroma - floral bitterness, slightly sweet graininess, and sour cherries; nice! Tasted of honey, pungent rose petal, cherry - it came across as quite dry, slightly spicy, and overall very soft - it gave the impression of being quite sweet, but it really wasn’t - the sour cherry more than balanced it - frankly this seemed more floral than fruity. Soft, very airy mouthfeel, with the malt finishing quickly and the slight acidity and pungency lingering much longer - recommended, although more than a pint might be a bit much.

2009-10-24. Crisp yellow body with a foamy white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasant with a good does of black cherry fruit, muted pale malts underneath. 6+ Flavour is similar with pleasant black cherry overtones, light bitterness, mild pale malt base. 6+ Average plus palate. 3+ Pretty solid fruit beer. I am not a big cherry person but it worked very nicely here. On tap at the brewery
