The Tap produced a brilliant deep orange colored lager with a rich sticky 2 finger creamy cap that will support a dime.
Aroma is lightly floral, light wisps of fruit, some toast and caramel malts.
Profile: thick mouth feel catches those toasty-sweet rich malts at first then a sweeping rush of piney hop bittering comes in and continues to intesify into the finish which is clean, drying with a good hop bite to it....lingering bitter after taste.
If you like Steam beers or Brookyn lager this is your dream lager..hoppy to the max, ale like and the finish is ripe with hops. matt7215 (1002), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Updated: Jul 15, 20071.9 l growler from the brewery. wow where do i begin. the aromas are incredible: bread yeast, sweet malt, caramel, sweet grass, hops, slight floral notes and more come out as this beer warms. pours deep golden with a beautiful white frothy head (two fingers) the head laces the glass just as it should and the carbonation is perfect for the style. the flavours are an amazing balance of the aromas and the layers of flavour are incredible considering this being only 4.4%. complexity and balance that you rarely find in this style. this is the best lager ive ever tasted and im looking forward to seeing it available in other size options. i cant wait to try the ale. A really flavorfull balanced lager with a strong but not too aggressive flavor profile of slight fruit in the malt and slight grass in the hops. Some caramel and toasty nuances. Chewy feel. Absolute pleasure to drink, and so where the fuck is Town Hall Lager??
