Ported (55), Ontario, Canada Jun 7, 2008 2L Growler from the Brewery, bottled 2 days ago. Dark Yellow with a decent white head. Very floral, hoppy, some bread/biscuit. Mild carbonation with a nice clean bitter finish. The freshness probably adds a few points, as I’ve rated it higher than others. I love this beer!
micker (31), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2008 This is alright. Not the best beer I’ve had of grand rivers. I enjoyed the plowman’s ale and the townhall lager more than this one. Beer is very similar in flavour to the plowman’s but slightly lest bitter and more fruity tasting. The beer smells like flowers, and fruit. Not bad but I would go with the plowman’s ale, this beer tastes like a watered down version of that beer. chops (28), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2008 Good beer. Maybee rate it higher next time i drink it, but this was late on the menu> ill buy it again! Barnabus (28), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 16, 2008 Sampled at brewery. Pours clear amber/gold with soft carbonation. The aroma is like caramel and grass which is also reflected in the flavour, but with a touch of citrus. It has medium body and a dry slightly bitter finish. A really nice beer. Slacks (355), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Feb 23, 2008 Draught @ Volo, Toronto, ON: Poured orange, decent foam head. Aroma is fruity, biscuity, and full of hops. The flavour was a shock to me, but very nice. A mix of sweet fruits, breads, and a ton of floral hopping. Extremely tasty, I was quite happy with it. Nice stuff!
