Tessic (376), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2008 This Pils poured a clear light yellow colour with a big bright white head. To the nose there is scents of corn, yeast and grain. First taste was smooth and filled with corn flavour. The finish was slightly hoppy and a little sweet. Kind of generic but pretty good. tomthompson89 (1129), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 from reading some other ratings of this maybe i had a bad pint??? i could barely finish it. yellow hue, decent foam. nose is bready some grass and a weird sweet fruit. flavor is grainy but has that odd sweetness that just seems to over power the rest KyotoLefty (110), Kyoto, Japan Sep 1, 2008 German style pils. Flavor of cereals, and grains, with golden malt, good hops, and a bit of fruit. Has a touch of citrus as well. Well balanced, light, smooth, refreshing. Well done. CapFlu (3292), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 31, 2008 (Growler) Thanks to Steve for sharing at the Brasseur du Temps pre-party. Pours a thin, lasting white head with a clear, non-carbonated golden body. Nose of biscuit and graham crackers. Mildly buttery, thin but fairly clean. 6/3/7/3/13 DerWeg (432), Tronna, Ontario, Canada Aug 30, 2008 Tap at ?C’est What? - a creditiable tribute to the german style of Pilsner (hence ’Pils’) - my notes say "German as f-ck, bready, almost fruity malts, pointy refined hops, lip-smacking texture and flavor." There are beers that take you ’home’ to a faraway place and this is one of them! Thank you GR for another flourish of your effortless brewing panáche. Beer with soul!
