2013-01-21 on draught at Volo. Beautiful refractive copper-amber pour with an average somewhat quick-diminishing creamy off-white head (3+). Aroma is spice, apricot, alcohol and a little floral bitterness - tiny hint of granny’s fancy floral soap in there (7-). Taste - follows, but quite grainy and sweet - in good balance, the spice isn’t as intense as in previous years, makes it a bit better drinking - and not soapy or boozy. Average body, slick, decent low-level carbonation, finishes dry and spicy - solid stuff.

Assuming this entry is also for the 2013 edition. Bottle. Pours clear orange. Fruity spicy aroma. Taste is packed full of spice, with some orange, and is on the bitter side. Not bad, but I feel like previous years’ versions were better.

Tessic (836) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
This one poured a medium amber colour with a quick living head. To the nose there are scents of beets, potatoes, alcohol and herb hops. First taste was smooth and almost uncarbonated. Flavours of lite smoke, mild hops and a little spice. Finish is a little bitter with hay flavor lingering...

On tap at C’est What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries. Pours a clear orange colour with decent-sized eggshell-coloured head. Aroma is Christmas cake spices and sweet, fruity malt. Flavour is also full of Christmas spices with lightly toasty fruitiness. Fine carbonation. Good.

Tap at cest what, awhile back, pours a clear amber, aroma is a bit strong and spicy, the flavour was nice and refreshing, the spices come through nice in this one, pretty tasty

Copper pour, small head. Aroma of spices, slight spruce, sweet malts. Lots of nutmeg, cinnamon, toasted malt, vanilla. Medium body, sweet aftertaste. I liked it, but theres a lingering spruce quality in the background i wish was more pronounced. Very christmasy.

Nice cinnamon spice here. Also strong nutmeg. Nice for style. Pours clear gold without much head or lacing. Finished bitter sweet. Average carbonation. Tap at volos.

Draught at Volo. Pours a deep orange-amber with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, slightly biscuity, along with spices, fruit and light sugary sweetness. Flavor of caramel malt, fruit, light spices and bready notes. Average bodied. Not as spicy as it used to be but it’s still quite enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
