decent drinking amber ale, this brewery has a very similar malt profile in a lot of thier brews, which is a good one, nice biscuity aftertaste, but i feel like this is a smaller version of the jubilation almost. decent drinker, nice session brew for sure with a decent hop profile to it.

A great amber ale. Starts off caramelly-sweet like a british ale, but ends off with a nice bitter hop finish. Will definitely get this again.

Bottle. Attractive deep scarlet appearance. Highly invigorating aromas of cherry, creamy malt and melon. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, and a pleasant fruity flavour that leads to a chalky bitter finish. An awesome British-style draft ale captured in a bottle.

On tap at Augusta’s Winking Judge in Hamilton. Didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised to see this is more of an IPA than anything else (nowadays at least). Pale with a rather extreme but balanced hop aftertaste, floral and interesting. A bit of sweetness fairly hard to perceive but which must be keeping the bitterness enjoyable is there somewhere. Brilliant beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Volo IPA Challenge. Pours a deep amber with a large off-white head that recedes eventually to a ring. Aroma is slightly sweet, good floral hop notes. Taste is much the same but with a good malt back and a pleasingly bitter finish. Solid and well crafted.

Bottle. One of my favorite of the GRB beers. Light copper pour with a very strong head. Beautiful punchy malt and hops. The newer recpie is a little less punchy, but darn good nontheless. Well balanced, realtively complex.. but very east to drink. Well done Rob!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Copper amber with a fair head. Strong vanilla scent mixed with wood and hints of aluminum. Big body. A touch syrupy. Flavour start and middle seem nondescript. Nice peppery hop finish and lingering bitterness make for a nice drinkable beer. Take out the vanilla and metallic note and we have a winner.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark amber with a thick white head. Bready aroma, with some grassy hops as well. Flavour is rich and malty, with a nice hop bitterness in the finish. One of my favorite beers.

On tap at brewery. Pours copper in colour, decent creamy head. Mild hoppy aroma, nicely balanced malt and hop taste. Bitter finish. Almost a Pale Ale. Quite good!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with subtle grainy flavor. Taste is dryer then I had anticipated with good caramel malt and dry finish. Hops are not overly distinct and ester are somewhat lacking. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad overall but I would say that this was below average for this brewer.
