Bottle from lcbo Niagara on the lake, bottled July 17, 2012. Pours dark amber tan hue with a silky looking tan head. Lacing coats the glass. Nose and taste of toast, pine, and nut. Medium body... More body than one would expect from a sub 5% abv.

Bottle bought at Champanes, this ale poured a red, orange, peach color into the glass and had a little haze, the pour gave a nice faint off-white cover that was lasting and left nice spots of lacing on the glass, the nose had toasted malt, faint fruit that was pear like, a little citrus hops, malt sweetness with a hint of caramel, the flavors were similar to the aroma, the finish had a light hop bitterness, the mouth feel was light and creamy with average carbonation, this beer had a nice flavor and nose of toasted malt, light hops and malt sweetness, a nice drink.

Idiosynkrasie (3578) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2014
500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slighty grainy aroma, bitter hoppy overtones, inexplicable fruitiness. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, fruity, a mixture of red berries and yellow stone fruit, nut paring dryness. Not concrete, somehow simply hoppy and malty. New metaphors required.

Pours a clear dark brown with minimal white head that quickly dissipates. I love the colour on this one. I get aromas of caramel, yeast and bread but they are pretty mild. The flavours are malt, hops, biscuit and a hint of toffee. This one is an okay amber but I can’t say much more than that. There just isn’t a lot of flavour and it seems rather watery.

Damn good, damn good. Capped by an off-white head, this dark gold guzzle smells of hay, honey and yeasty bread. It tastes a little sweet with caramel, nuts and quite unexpectedly, but very welcomed, plum. A low carbonated brew with a smooth body shared with the finest of quaffing companions.

Poured a rusted straw colour with a fast disappearing head. Had a interesting aroma of citrus, bread, and grapes. Taste was even more interesting with sweet plum, nuts, and biscuits. Had a light smooth body with low carbonation and a mild bitterness near the end.

500 ml bottle. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is very malty with caramel, roast and a hint of nuts & cereal but there is a bit of floral hops as well. On the palate it is medium bodied, fairly roasty bitter but smooth and a tad watery for me. Meh, wouldn’t buy this one again.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep amber with small off white head that quickly fades. Nose is caramel and roasted malts with floral hops . Sweet toffee, vanilla and some banana with a light citrus bitterness in the finish. Slightly watery slick mouth with soft carbonation. Hops never really come through in the taste.

Pours sunburst brown with a one finger mushy cap. Taste is interesting for an amber ale: a broil of malts & hops that may not be as deep as hoped for but that is interesting. Seems almost stuck in the border blur of styles --maybe this a really good bitter? Another salt of the earth offering from these guys.

Botltle shared with Tom10101, thanks! Pours amber. Light beer, kind of hoppy with a touch of lavender. Soapy texture. A bit watery. Ok beer.

500 ml bottle. Pours a just barely orangey gold with a rocky beige head. Aroma of caramel malts and yeast. Flavour is slightly bitter with hints of roast. Body is on the light side of medium. Finish is bitter.
