The Pugnascious is designed to be a very simple ale. A combination of pale malt, crystal and 4 strikes of cascade hops in significant quantities - in true US pale ale tradition. Not rocket science but no beer is.

Pours a hazy deep gold with a thin white cap. The aroma is citrusy, malty, candy orange, good. The flavour starts out with a harsh hop bitterness, but then quickly moves onto a light refreshing mingle of malt and hop, and then ends with some grapefruit bitterness. Finish is a bit soapy. It does a few things bad, but it does most things well. Decent brew.

Pour copper orange with short white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, cereal grain, light citrus hops, pale malt. Taste caramel, sweet grain, citrus, nice hop kick. MF medium body fine fizzy carb. Very well brewed to style quite tasty very easy drinking well done exactly what I expect based on deScription.

500 ml bottle - pours clear gold/copper with a thick white head that leaves chunky lacing. Aroma similar to many of GRís other beers in that itís muted, a result of the incredibly hard water they use. Still, nice - caramel malts, some green apple, a faint hint of sourness (not in a bad way). Flavour amps it up a notch, revealing fresh mown hay, light lemon notes, and a pleasing herbal quality, finished with a firm bitterness. Clean, simple, eminently quaffable, yet another solid release from GRB.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Deep amber with small white head. Caramel and hay in the nose. Sweet toasted malt with a hint of bitterness. Medium slick body. Short finish. Good but i was expecting more bite from something called Pugnacious.

Pleasant floral hop aroma with notes of caramel. Gold and sparkling, leaves a continuous lace on top. Flavor is grassy, moderately bitter, a bit resiny, very dry malts. Medium bodied with a good dry aftertaste. Really nice beer, hearty but easy to drink, Iíll be buying more this fall!

Bottle. Orange-amber colour, creamy head. Aroma of bready malts. Taste is well-balanced, slight woodiness, bitter finish. Like the deScription says, simple and straightforward, but quite well done.
